Your field sampling is streamlined and easier with the Dipper-Tough

Water Level (static) with Draw-down Indicator feature!

With the touch of a button, measure Depth to Water (static) or Drawdown!

Heron Dipper-Tough is engineered for use in groundwater wells, surface water, and boreholes in horizontal and vertical applications such as: Remediation, waste disposal, hydrocarbons, pump test, purge, well development and sampling.

Benefits of HERON Dipper-Tough

About the Probe:

  • (IP68) NON-removable probe indicates Water Level with Drawdown

  • 5/8” od stainless steel probe is fully pressure/depth rated* does NOT contain holes or recesses, eliminating contaminate build-up concerns

  • Water Level with Drawdown Probe (IP68) sends a signal to the reel providing both visual (LED) and audio alert (buzz) when it detects water level, or when in draw-down mode, detects air

  • To preserve the working integrity and life of the probe used in corrosive or high-temperature applications, the dipper-Tough probe connection is manufactured without a link

  • Measure water levels accurate to 1/100’ or to each mm.

About the Electronics and Reel:

  • Electronic Reel Module (IP65) is removable for easy cleaning and servicing

  • Electronic Reel Module (IP65) allows for mode switch from water (static) level detection to Draw-down mode

  • Electronic Reel Module (IP65) Circuits and components are water-tight to protect from moisture and dust intrusion

  • Circuits and components are potted to protect from moisture and dust intrusion

  • Sensitivity Control Switch Option easily adjusts for false signals from cascading water

  • Vinyl Ergonomic Hand-Grip for comfortable portability

  • Custom Spooling Handle allows for easy tape lowering, and re-coil onto reel

  • Tape Guide and Hanger mounted on the reel supports the tape and probe at the well head, and protects tape from sharp well-casing edges

About the Tape:

  • The hydrocarbon resistant Kynar jacketed, high tensile steel core tape is embedded directly into the probe body, allowing for longer life of the tape and probe** when used in harsh environments.

  • Steel Tape Certified/Compliant to – ASME B89.1.7-2009 & MIL-STD-45662A Certified, FED GGG-T-106F & EEC Class II Compliant

  • Markings available in metric (mm) or engineering scale (Feet/Inches) (1/100’)

Padded Carry Case included for protection of your water level indicator from weather elements!

Warranty: 5 years on tape and reel; probe not available

                                                                                                               * Temporarily Submersible

**If the probe gets damaged, the probe and part of the tape would be sacrificed.

Heron Instruments recommends to not use a water level meter in both harsh environments and potable water to avoid cross-contamination.

The Dipper-T2 or Dipper-T is suggested for use in potable water.
